Cooper and her dog, Marconi were part of the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program from 2009-2019. Marconi won the AKC's Therapy Dog of the year in 2012 for his work with patients at St. Luke's -Roosevelt Hospital in New York. They also spent five years visiting weekly at NYU-Langone Hospitals working on the pediatric floors. Here he is on WCBS news in New York.
Cooper and Marconi also participated in the R.E.A.D program (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) through the New York Public Library. They were proud to be part of the first comprehensive literacy program that utilizes dogs as a key element to reading.
Several times a year Cooper and her team at BLI had hosted toy events at both Ronald McDonald House and Stony Brook Children’s Hospital with their partners from Adventureland. They worked to help aiding the efforts of both programs to keep families with sick children together and near the care and resources they needed.
